There are a lot of wild tales about how the Twilight videos got created, but Josh Peck might have just exposed the most unforeseen one still. Turns out, not only did the comedic actor audition for the section of brooding vampire Edward Cullen, he essentially was amazingly shut to finding cast. And indeed, even Peck himself is stunned that he pretty much landed a part that seems so totally towards-variety.

Peck instructed his Twilight tale for the duration of the Oct. 23 episode of his Excellent Men podcast, which had his would-be co-star Taylor Lautner as a guest.

“I remember it’s like 2006–7, they are like, ‘Audition for this movie Twilight, it’s dependent on a guide, it is going to be wonderful,” Peck recalled his management telling him. At that time, Peck was still starring in his Nickelodeon sitcom Drake & Josh, and most effective recognized for above-the-top rated comedy parts.

“I ship in my tape for Edward. A month later on, I’m with my supervisor, he goes, ‘It’s down to you and 3 guys,’ Peck mentioned, likely on to acknowledge he was shocked to be viewed as owing to his entire body variety. “Really?
