Ever since Taylor Swift was spotted leaving a studio with then-boyfriend Matty Healy back in May, there have been rumors that The 1975 frontman could be a showcased artist on Swift’s impending 1989 re-launch. Just after all, Swift has been adding buzzy musicians as features on her recently introduced vault tracks. In the midst of all the speculation, Healy’s rep ultimately confirmed if Swifties will be hearing a Swift/Healy collab on the new album or not.

Forward of the 1989 (Taylor’s Version) release at the stop of October, a spokesperson for Healy explained to Billboard that “neither Matty Healy nor [The] 1975 are on this album.” The assertion shuts down rumors that Healy experienced recorded a vault keep track of with Swift that would be bundled on the re-release. Swift is a longtime fan of Healy’s band, The 1975, and she had a brief fling with Healy from Might to June of this year following her separation with longtime boyfriend Joe Alwyn. In the middle of Could, the couple lifted eyebrows when they ended up noticed leaving Electric powered Lady Studios in New York City alongside one another. Enthusiasts promptly assumed that they were doing work on new tunes alongside one another, and right after Swift announced 1989 (Taylor’s Edition) three months later on, the speculation became that Healy would be featured on the album. However, now it is obvious that is not the case.

Swift has yet to expose what the vault music for 1989 (Taylor’s Variation) will be — or if any one will be showcased on them — but in real kind, she’s previously started off dropping some clues. Followers recognized that a term scramble pop-up seems on Google when exploring Swift’s title, which appears to be an anagram for the new track titles.

With the Oct. 27 launch of 1989 (Taylor’s Variation) just around the corner and some puzzling Easter eggs by now popping up, expect more information on the vault tracks incredibly shortly. They may be blank spaces for now, but one issue we do know for guaranteed is that Healy has undoubtedly been locked out of the vault.
