You can criticize a good deal about Riverdale. Did its storylines go off the rails much more than after? Unquestionably. Did its consistent few-swapping experience a bit lover-servicey? Absolutely sure. Does literally everything that comes about make sense? Hell no. But these are all factors I and other followers of the increasingly bonkers present could forgive.
