On her next album, Guts<\/a><\/em>, Olivia Rodrigo didn\u2019t hold again. \u201cVampire<\/a>,\u201d the first one, is a scathing track about a callous ex (or, if you imagine the rumors, possibly Taylor Swift<\/a>). But in a Sept. 18 profile for GQ<\/em>, Bia resolved the rumors that \u201cVampire\u201d was about him \u2014 and the DJ wasn\u2019t certain he was the song\u2019s inspiration.<\/p>\n

Just about right away soon after \u201cVampire\u201d arrived out, lovers pointed out that some of the lyrics lined up beautifully with Rodrigo and Bia\u2019s romance<\/a>. For just one, Rodrigo sings about \u201csix months of torture\u201d \u2014 Bia and Rodrigo reportedly dated<\/a> for six months in 2022. She also sings about an age gap in the song. Bia is 27, when Rodrigo is 20. Even Madison Beer, one more a person of Bia\u2019s exes, appeared to think \u201cVampire\u201d was a reference to their shared ex. Soon after the track\u2019s release, Beer\u2019s very own song \u201cSelfish\u201d<\/a> (also speculated to be about Bia) went up in the charts. Beer shared the accomplishment, composing, \u201cThank you pass up olivia <3.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite the speculation, Bia told GQ <\/em>he didn\u2019t think the song was inspired by their relationship<\/a>. “I don’t think it’s really about me. I think the internet just ran with it,\u201d he said. However, Bia admitted that their relationship could have played some role in creating an imagined vampiric character. \u201cLook, I\u2019m in the industry so I know how a song gets made,\u201d he said before explaining that their romance wouldn\u2019t be worthy of a breakup bop. \u201cWe hung out, we’re both busy, and we ended up not furthering our relationship. There was never any drama, you know?\u201d<\/p>\n
